Nestlé’s Nesquik Launches Vegan Chocolate Milk GoodNes

Boasting six grams of protein and 40% less sugar than chocolate almond milk Nestlé’s Nesquik is launching their new vegan plant based oat milk just in time for Veganuary

It’s made from a blend of pea protein and oat milk that according to the company was mixed specifically to match the nutritional profile of mammary fluid milk.

The new oat milk drink called GoodNes hasn’t hit store shelves just yet can be found on Walmart’s website in preparation for the launch soon to come. 

Nestlé is hot on the heels of the current oat milk boom that has found its way into many plant based alternatives lately from Miyoko’s cheese to yogurts partly because some people believe the misinformation that soy will give you breasts.

It also contains two grams of dietary fiber, 46 percent riboflavin, 27 percent calcium, 22 percent phosphorus, six percent potassium and two percent iron. Although it contains more calories, carbohydrates and fiber than almond milk, fortified oat milk has added B vitamins.

Does oat milk go bad?

Store it safely. Store-bought brands are shelf stable until opened, then last seven to 10 days after opening in the refrigerator (depending on the package expiration date). But homemade oat milk only lasts two to three days (at most) in your fridge so it’s best enjoyed ASAP.

Is oat milk good for weight loss?

While oat milk typically contains a bit more fiber and protein per serving, Oatly’s calorie and fat count is double Blue Diamond’s — which is not really desirable if you’re looking to cut down on calories to lose weight.
