Domino’s is launching two new vegan pizzas in a trial run at participating locations throughout the U.K. and Ireland.
The Vegan Margherita and the Vegan Veggie Supreme will be on the menu at 46 locations nationwide from the website or the delivery app.
The Margherita pizza is made up of tomato sauce and Domino’s own vegan plant-based cheese.
The Vegi Supreme consists of mushrooms, sweetcorn, onions, green peppers, red peppers, and tomatoes.
Of course, customers can also order their pizza however they like with other vegan ingredients available.
The pizzas come in a medium size and will be served with a side of Domino’s BBQ dip (vegan). They are priced the same as their other non-vegan equivalents.
Domino’s said they took quite a while to create a vegan plant-based dough that was up to their standards.
A previous recipe and trial run of the vegan pizza was scrapped after it was decided that it didn’t live up to the companies quality. They took another year of trial and error to sort out the recipe they are now using.
“Our vegan offering has been a while coming because we’re determined to make sure it’s full of our iconic Domino’s flavor. We might not be first but we’re always the best – no compromises.
Our dedicated pizza chefs are incredibly excited for our fans to try this new and improved latest dough as we believe we’ve nailed it. If they agree and love it as much as we do, Domino’s will roll out nationwide. We’ve now busy working on some toppings and sides -so watch this space.” Aman Prasher, Domino’s chief vegan dough developer
