Mena Massoud the actor who played Aladdin in the new live action remake now counts himself among the many celebrities investing in vegan plant based restaurants. The Disney star has invested in California based Plant Power Fast Food. A vegan drive thru we’ve previously reported on for having a founder (Zach Vouga) on the Forbes 30 under 30 list this year.

Massoud invested after learning that the way they do business is in alignment with his own vegan values.

“I’ve spent a great deal of time touring North America visiting a lot of plant-based restaurants [and] Plant Power Fast Food immediately stuck out as a big player,” Massoud said. “They have massive ambitions in the space, and they don’t just outsource their products like many of the other companies in the marketplace. There is great attention to detail, and we share the same outlook—that in order to cause real change, we have to make plant-based living accessible to the masses.”

Plant Powered Fast Food despite opening only a few short years ago (2016) has quickly expanded to five new locations and will be adding four more in the coming new year if all goes well.
