Simon Cowell Loses Nearly 50 Pounds On Plant Based Vegan Diet

Simon Cowell has lost nearly 50 pounds since adopting a plant based vegan diet. He was recently seen on vacation with his son Eric and girlfriend Lauren Steadman in Barbados over the holidays. 

The Sun shows him pictured shirtless and looking slimmer than he’s been in years.

This past April The Sun Reported Cowell had cut out dairy, meat, sugar, and wheat. He said jokingly it made him more attractive:

“I was an eight [out of 10] and now I’ve gone to an 11”.

Reportedly he’s working on giving up fish so that he will be on a completely plant based diet but that isn’t confirmed yet.

“I cut out a lot of the stuff I shouldn’t have been eating and that was primarily meat, dairy, wheat, sugar – those were the four main things,” Cowell told The Sun.

“It was way easier than you may think. Like, I used to have yogurt in the morning and I changed it to almond-milk yogurts. I have almond milk in my tea.

“I can eat certain fruits but not all fruits. You have to be careful because some fruit can have more sugar than a can of Coke. Once you get into a pattern I’ve found it quite enjoyable. It has helped me sleep and I wake up feeling less tired. I noticed a massive difference in how I felt in about a week.”

“I have more energy and focus and it wasn’t difficult. I don’t like to use the word diet because that’s the reason I never went on a diet before – the word diet makes me miserable.”

Cowell as we reported back in October has not only been on a plant based diet he’s been showing his love for animals. He closed a dog meat farm in October by buying them out completely to save the animals. It’s clear he’s evolving towards veganism so here’s hoping 2020 will be the year Simon Cowell joins celebrities like Joaquin Phoenix in being vegan for the animals.
