Trader Joe’s Launches New Vegan Strawberry Ice Cream, Caesar Dressing And More

Spread the love

Trader Joe’s has added many new and delicious plant-based vegan products to their ever-growing cruelty-free inventory.

With summer here there is no better time to launch vegan ice cream to cool us down during the pavement baking heat.

The niche grocery chain is now offering vegan non-dairy ice cream made from oat milk. The new strawberry flavor is speckled with almond brittle and candied strawberries.

The reviews are already pouring in:

“I had to grab myself 2,” wrote foodie @traderjoesgorl. “It’s soooo good I honestly can’t even tell it’s dairy-free because it’s so creamy! Also, it’s definitely not too sweet, I could inhale this whole pint!”

“So excited for this 🤗. @traderjoes you just keep getting better and better! This Dairy Free Strawberry with Almond Brittle & Candied Strawberries Frozen Dessert is yummy🍓. Thanks for never disappointing in the Trader Joe’s Dairy Free Finds 🛒.”

Another reviewer noted it’s their “new favorite non-dairy frozen dessert” from Trader Joe’s.

This is one of many new frozen vegan treats including their vanilla ice cream made from an almond milk base.

The plant-based ice creams are 3.99 for a 16-ounce pint which comes in much cheaper than competitors like So Delicious or Ben and Jerry’s non-dairy vegan ice cream alternatives.

Outside of the frozen food section, they have unveiled their new Vegan Caesar Dressing that is made from capers, white miso, dijon mustard, olive oil, lemon juice, and tofu.

“New Vegan Caesar Dressing! In the refrigerated area you will find this new dressing. Love that it’s vegan. I’ve never had a vegan Caesar dressing so I’m excited to try. The ingredient list is pretty clean. Must try new vegan dressing!”

The new Vegan Caesar will sit next to Trader Joe’s Vegan Ranch dip which is made from a coconut milk base and carried in a tub instead of a bottle for easier dipping. The Vegan Ranch dip first debuted as part of a vegetable party tray last year.

“I know I’m late to this party but YOU GUYS.. TJ’s finally has vegan ranch!! Well, I mean they’ve had it with the veggie tray for a while now and I hear this is the same stuff, but now we can get it on its own!”

2020 has also seen the addition of vegan meats to Trader Joe’s as they launched their vegan beef-style protein patties in January and turkyless protein patties in May.

Vegan cheeses also expanded recently this summer with cheddar style slices and new mozzarella style shreds hitting shelves at only $3.99 per 7-ounce package.

“Thanks to @traderjoes , I had my first grilled cheese sandwich in 2.5 years!! Maybe it’s because I haven’t had American cheese in so long, or maybe it’s because it’s just that good, but this tasted exactly like a grilled real-cheese sandwich! If you are hankering for a grilled cheese but are dairy-free, give this soy cheese a try!”

Trader Joe’s is still in development for their vegan almond milk-chocolate bar we told you about earlier this year and they have some new vegan candy options with gelatin-free “Just The Lobsters” a new creature shaped gummy part of their Scandinavian swimmer gummies product line.

Trader Joe’s has always carried plant-based vegan items and now it continues to expand as a sign of the times.
